Whew! I made it through the month... :D

Day 29 - September 30

Twas the last day of the interns. We were supposed to have our grand duty but they still had a pending case presentation so we rescheduled our treat after they present. Instead, Odette and I had dinner...at Burger King! I suddenly craved for onion rings. It was such a relief when I finally finished one big box :D

Day 30 - October 1

Holiday!!! I woke up late coz of the rains. I thought it was just 7 am...I was pleasantly shocked when I checked my phone and found out that it was 11 am already! It was one of the rare times I could wake up late and not feel guilty about it.

-------------------------------------

I can't believe I was able to do this for a whole month. Looking at my entries, I realized that most of them are about food...hahaha. I'll probably keep on doing this, but instead of daily happiness, it'll probably be a weekly or a monthly thing.

Or maybe...I'll just post about my rantings instead...Naah...too much hatred already in this world.

I just have to post this here...my greatest accomplishment for the month.............

I'm SMOKEFREE...finally. I don't know how long this will last but so far so, good! Thanks to all those who kept on encouraging me all this time :D

Woah...I didn't realize I have a backlog of entries already. Things were a bit busy the past few days, real life and otherwise, hahaha :p

Here goes....

Day 24 - September 25

As much as I love eating out, there comes a time when you realize how much you get to save if you just eat at home. So my original plan was to go home straight after work. But the universe conspired to help me get my japanese cravings that time. For some unknown reason, the engineer of our building passed by the clinic as we were closing and offered to give us a ride to the mall. When we got there, he said that he was treating us to dinner...who am I to refuse such a tempting offer eh?

We had dinner at Tokyo Cafe since he he enjoyed his last meal there. Oh my God...Kani Sandwich, Creamy Ebiko Pasta, Matcha...here I come!!! I felt so happy that time that I thought my heart will burst out of my chest [only food..and probably my girly japanese boys, can induce this reaction]. We weren't able to take pictures though. I was afraid Engr. Toto will find us weird and make us pay for dinner, hahaha. I really felt God loved me that time :D

--------------------------------------------------

Day 25 - September 26

I had dinner [yes, another food entry. I'm trying to entice [info]vintersagato visit me here, hahaha] with some of my cousins. They lived 2 blocks away from my old house so we all grew up together. Now that we're all working, we rarely get to see each other. We're all low on budget so we decided to eat at in UP Village.

I had shrimps again, and tofu...
unbarbaqued tofu

My plate.

The others had...

Chicken ass [eating those are supposed to make you talkative]

Pork barbeque

Bangus [milkfish] steak

After the meal, we had P11 coffee at MiniStop. The coffee was good, made me stay awake till 3 am.

--------------------------------------------

Day 26 - September 27

My family and I bonded after dinner over X-Men 2. We used to have dinner together, discussing our day. Eversince I got into college and stayed at my apartment, we rarely had the chance to do that. Even when I moved back, we all ate at different times, which was sad. For some reason, considering it was a weekend, we were all at home and had dinner. I missed how we would argue over the most inane things, with Mum telling us to keep our voices all coz the whole street could hear us already. After dinner, we watched X-Men 2, which was showing on TV. I wish we could have more times like that.

-------------------------------------------

Day 27 - September 28

I discovered another snack...

Unlike most of my friends, I like my cookies to be chewy, none of the crumbly stuff. Crunkee is just like that...they're so chewy and most of all, they're cheap! :D

--------------------------------------

Day 28 - September 29

I'm about to finish a whole month's worth of entries...yey!

I have a new patient. He's Jonas...and he's so cute.

I really wanted to take him home...look at that face :D

Day 22 - September 23

I had the most amazing lunch from Nanay Goreng...

Lumpiang sariwa [fresh vegetable rolls] and...

Halabos na hipon [Shrimps...hahaha, i can't translate. Something like steamed then sauteed shrimps]

I'm actually allergic to shrimps and crabs but I didn't care. It was too good to pass on those.

--------------------------------------

Day 23 - September 24

It was a very rainy night. Yet, i still headed on to at UP Diliman for dinner with some colleagues [former students] As expected, the place was packed with all sorts of hungry people. We grabbed a table on the first floor, near the counter, so it was very easy for us to keep on ordering since we could see all the food on display. Good thing food is still cheap here, so our wallets weren't drained as much. I had the usual special there...tapsilog!

Tapsilog [shredded cured beef, egg and fried rice]

Looking at all these pictures are making me hungry again...

Day 20 - September 21

I cooked lunch for my family, my usual chore every Sunday. Actually, I wasn't even sure what my dish was called, whether it was escabeche or sarciado. All I know is that I fried some fish [and got all those oil splotches after :( ] Then made some sauce from garlic, onions, lots of tomatoes, ginger, water, sugar and an egg. I wish I took a picture of the dish but it wasn't that pretty to look at. Tasted soooo good though! :D

-----------------------------------------------

Day 21 - September 22

Aaah!!! Lots of good things happened today...

- JOR released 2 new Cartoon KAT-TUN episodes!!! Yey! Keep them coming girls! :D

- TimeLesSub [TLS] released episode 2 of Invincible Shan Bao Mei! I timed this one so I was pretty excited when it finally got released.

- Saw this cooking show on TV, Tablescapes: Life on a Plate. It's hosted by Angel Aquino and Chef Bruce Lim. It was pretty interesting. I learned how to make vegetarian sisig made of tofu and mushrooms...Looks yummy. I must try that soon.

- I dunno why but this song's by Dresden Dolls has been stuck on my head for hours already. I bring it to you, in hopes that you get LSS too, hahaha :p

Day 19 - September 20

I was tinkering with my friend's mobile phone when I discovered the game City Bloxx (also known as Tower Bloxx). It was so brainless, you just need to stack as much blocks as you can without toppling your building. Your goal is either to build the highest tower or to get the most occupants in your "city". Like most brainless games, this one was so addictive that before I knew it, 2 hours has already passed. It was enough to make up for the fact that I was waiting for 2 hours for my friend to finish her stuff.

On constant repeat on my player right now are songs of Monkey Majik. Amongst all the Japanese bands I've listened to, they must be most fluent in English. This fact helped me to appreciate their music more. [I just recently found out that 2 of them were from Canada. No wonder they were able to speak English without any problems]

Here's a sample of the song, The Letter.
