Nope, I haven't gone over to the other side...at least not yet, lol. This year, I decided to spend Valentine's Day with some girlfriends, instead of going out on dates. It's just too much of a cliche waiting in line with your "special friend" along with all the couples during this day. Now, these "special friends" had to wait till after Valentine's coz I already have a date...or make that dates :)

Friday night, I rushed all the way to Banapple at QC from my last patient at Antipolo for dinner with some of my former students - cum- carpool mates - cum girlfriends. It was my first time to dine at Banapple. The place was really small...and there was a long line outside when I got there. Good thing Bernie and Erin got there earlier so they were able to secure a nice table. Food are reasonably-priced, and were really yummy. We tried some of the pasta dishes and pies. Then we all had cakes...yum yum. Too bad though that the only tea available was green tea...didn't exactly went well with my old-fashioned chocolate cake. It was a good meal though. [pictures to follow]

The actual V-Day I spent with some of my friends at TimeLesSub. We've gone out several times before, and we try to see each other at least every month. It's really nice how you end up meeting some nice people over at the net, which just goes to show that not everybody online is a creepy pervert.

After our Saturday activities [school, clinic, family life], we met and headed on to Robinson's Place, Manila for dinner. We were supposed to try out that new Kido Manga Cafe, which we thought had mangas for rent. To our surprise, it was just a regular cafe named Kido Manga. We weren't feeling the menu coz we were hungry [no takoyakis or korokkes could satisfy us then] so we went around the mall until we ended up at Tempura. We ate so much...we were so hungry that we forgot to take pictures of the food, lol. We remembered to take some of our stuffed selves though. We spent the whole time talking about Mei-chan [but of course, we're all working on that eh], subbing, JE boys, Hana Dan, the Korean version, school, family, more JE boys, lol. Can't wait for the next night-out.

For my last Valentine's Date, I went out with Odette, my co-therapist at Fr. Monti. We used to go out  a lot, like every Thursday. But things got real busy, like new clinics and boy "friends" that we weren't really able to hang-out as much. We went to our usual mall, SM The Block and tried to look for a new place to dine.

After going through all the floors, collecting lots of fliers in the process, we decided to try out Life Coffee and Tea. It's a Taiwan-based Cafe that just opened last November. We had the whole place to ourselves, I don't know if it was a slow day for them, or if they really lack patrons. We were so hungry [yes, a recurring theme in this post, didn't you notice?] that we finished a salad, an entire 10" pizza and a pasta dish. One of the waiters kept looking at us. I'm not sure if it was because we were taking pictures of the food, or that we were gossiping so loud, or the fact that we ordered so much...and finished them all! The food was a bit salty to my taste, maybe it's because of the combination of food that we ordered. They really have to watch their sauces coz the salad and the pasta were drowning in their sauces. Total bill, including drinks, was P840 [~US18]. A bit too much for a Monday dinner, but it was worth it coz I was with great company.

I just realized that it's been a while since my last food post. I hope I didn't make you guys too hungry :)
